Tom Hunter graduated from Davidson College in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. He then worked for a startup joint-venture between MidSouth Financial and Centura Bank. After several promotions culminating in Vice President, Mr. Hunter was selected to attend UNC’s Kenan-Flager Business School and graduated with honors in 1999. Upon graduation, Mr. Hunter worked as a mergers and acquisitions associate for Brookwood Associates, LLC, an investment bank in Charlotte, NC. In 2002, he joined his family’s company, Hunter Corporation, Inc. While attending NADA’s Dealer Academy, Mr. Hunter worked at all positions within the dealership, from parts counter, sales to sales manager. He is currently the President and Chief Executive Officer of Hunter Corporation.
Randy Hunter graduated from East Carolina University in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. In September of 1984 he began his career with Hunter Corporation, Inc. Randy has worked in all departments and has held practically every position at both dealerships, including sales representative, service writer, finance manager, new and used car manager and general sales manager. He has garnered many sales awards from Chevrolet’s Legion of Sales leaders and the Truck Honor Club. In 1998 he was promoted to General Manager of Hunter Nissan Lincoln Mercury. The dealership has earned several awards, including Nissan’s prestigious Award of Merit. He is currently serving as the Chairman and Visionary of Hunter Corporation.
Hector is originally from New Jersey. He has recently moved up to WNC from Miami, Florida to join the Hunter team as the new S/H/V/G General Manager. He has been in the automotive industry for over 30 years. Hector is an experienced and well-reputed General Manager. He received a Business Admin Executive Certificate from the University of Notre Dame. He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Phoenix.
I grew up in Bonifay, FL and moved to Asheville in 2018 after meeting my wife, Evelyn in Orlando. After leaving the hospitality industry in 2019, I started a new journey at Hunter Nissan and then moved into a business manager position at our airport location. I enjoy cooking, fishing and spending family time outdoors with our two dogs Oliver and Indy.
Hi, I’m John. I was born in Germany and moved to the United States when I was 18 years old. I started out in Long Island, New York, and after the events of 9/11, I relocated to Florida on September 14, 2001—a decision that shaped both my personal and professional journey. I’ve spent 26 years in the automotive industry, with the first three in sales and the last 23 years in finance. Over the years, I’ve built strong relationships with customers by focusing on transparency, trust, and delivering a smooth, stress-free experience. When I’m not working, you’ll likely find me outdoors—I love hiking, and I’m a big fan of baseball and football. I also share my home with a floppy-eared, four-legged best friend—our beloved beagle, who keeps life fun and full of love.
Born and raised on the islands of Hawaii. He loves tennis, exotic cars, and playing music. He has been in the automotive industry for 10 years from receptionist, service tech, service advisor, service manager, sales consultant, finance manager to sales manager, for different dealers. Also certified through Harvard Business School for Leadership principals, Negotiation Mastery, Management Essentials, and Strategy Execution.

I am a WNC native. I have a 9 year old son named Cayman and reside in Hendersonville. I worked in the cellular market for 5 years before finding my way into the Automotive Industry which I now have been a part of for 2 years. I am a Sales Consultant for Volvo,Hyundai and Subaru. Gala Rice has been in sales at Hunter since 2000 and says “I LOVE SELLING CARS!!” Born in Brevard, she is very involved at Next Church, leads a Healthy Living Exercise and Bible study class. She and her high school sweetheart, Jeff, have been married 27 years and have three wonderful children (Christina, Caleb and Joshua) and two wonderful grandchildren (Sophia and Collin). Gala is an avid runner and has her BA from UNC-Charlotte. Her son and son-in-law are in the US Air Force and her son Joshua is a college student and baseball player.
Hi, I’m Niel! I grew up in the beautiful wine country of Cape Town, South Africa, where my love for the outdoors and fine wine began. These days, I enjoy spending my free time hiking, camping, and working on cars, or just relaxing with a great bottle of wine. I’m happily married and share my home with two amazing dogs: a Bernese Mountain Dog and a sassy Corgi with plenty of attitude! My background is in the hospitality industry, especially the wine world, which taught me the value of exceptional service and creating memorable experiences.
Hi, I’m Roy Strickland and I grew up in Hendersonville, NC. My journey has taken me from being a Sales Representative for a running company to an Associate Supervisor at PepsiCo, and later a Business Manager in the orthodontics field. Outside of work, I’m an avid runner and hiker, always looking for the next trail to explore. My two dogs, Tucker and Bennie, are my adventure buddies, always ready to hit the outdoors with me.
I was born in sunny Santa Barbara, CA, but spent most of my childhood in Michigan, where my love for football and the outdoors really took root. These days, I enjoy spending my free time outside, whether it’s playing sports or diving into yard work—it’s my kind of therapy! I’ve been married to my amazing wife, Kelly, for 28 years, and together we’ve raised seven awesome kids. Our family wouldn’t be complete without our two dogs, Bruce and Lucy, who keep life interesting. I served 8 years in the Marine Corps and have over 30 years of experience in the automotive industry, all in Fixed Ops. Helping customers and solving challenges is what drives me every day!

Dolores Asbell is a graduate of the University of Central Florida and was born in Ocala. She moved to Brevard in 1979 – like many, from childhood, spent summers in NC and fell in love. Dolores was a paralegal in a law firm for six years and she has been in the automotive industry for 12 years – with Hunter since spring 2016 as a Service Advisor. Prior to Hunter, she was a Service Advisor and in Accounts Receivable/Payable and a Bookkeeper. She is married, has four children and six grandchildren. She has worked as a volunteer with Compassion International and is a member of the Tim Tebow Foundation. She enjoys hiking with her dogs, Roxy and Rango, swimming, painting and football.
Robert Ficker is a life-long resident of Henderson County. He has been a shuttle driver in the Parts Department with Hunter since summer 2014 – prior to which he was in manufacturing for 34 years rising to Facilities Engineer Manager and a Superintendent. He has a BS in Industrial Engineering. Robert is married with four children. His hobbies include spending time with his family, grand kids, their dogs and the “honey-do” list projects around the house. Something he really likes about his job is being amazed at how our customers find out about Western North Carolina!
I was born in Detroit, Michigan, and lived there until I was 4. My family then moved to South Florida, where I spent my childhood until the age of 11, before settling here in beautiful Western North Carolina. I’ve been lucky to call WNC home ever since! I love photography and being outdoors, whether it’s capturing stunning landscapes or simply enjoying nature. My family is close-knit, with my mom, sister, and nephew all living here locally. I’ve spent the last 21 years working in the automotive industry, specializing in Fixed Operations, and I’m passionate about providing the best service experience possible.

Hi, I’m Megan! I’m originally from Melbourne, Florida—don’t hold it against me! These days, I’m thrilled to be back in Western North Carolina, where I’m working on starting a hobby farm and love spending my free time hiking. I live with my partner of six years, and we share our home with two adorable fur babies, Snoop and Moo.
My journey in the automotive world began as an intern and main shop tech for Subaru in Asheville, where I worked for four years. I then spent the past two years in the DC area as a parts specialist for Nissan. Now that I’m back in WNC, I’m excited to reconnect with this amazing community and work alongside all of you!
My name is Abel Quinlan, I am San Diego born and raised, and made the move to Asheville in 2013 due to my love of all the food, people, and drinks, Asheville has to offer. I am the youngest of three siblings and have a passion for football and baseball. On my days off I like to spend my time off hiking, having some drinks with friends, or catching a game. Jennifer was raised in Hendersonville, NC. She started working for Hunter in 1994 and is also a licensed massage and bodywork therapist. Jennifer is active with church ministry and enjoys the outdoors, spending time with family and close friends.
Linda was born and raised in Upstate NY. She graduated from Dental Assistant school and pursued a career in the dental field. After having her twins, she decided to raise her children full time. She relocated to the southern states six years ago.
I have 2 children and 2 grandchildren. I have been with my girlfriend Melissa for 17 years. We moved to Flat Rock 3 years ago and absolutely love it here. We have 6 Subarus in my family, which is the perfect vehicle for mountain living
